Below is a table of contents, listing the generic T.O.&E. for reconnaissance battalions. These are meant to aid those WWII Online squads, wishing to form reconnaissance battalions or units thereof. The charts cover only infantry, motorized infantry, panzergren. and panzer divisions.
Divisions not covered in the T.O.&E. are: |
Cavalry, Light, Jager, Falschirmjager, Falschirmpanzer, Mountain, Luftwaffe Field, Security, Bodenstandigen, and Volksgrenadier. |
The T.O.& E. battalion charts are set up at company - platoon level and not each individual squad (Zug) is listed. In other words, a member of your WWII online squad will represent an actual platoon, rather then having list every vehicle. Included are the years from 1939 - 1945. The abbriviation (FU) within the listings refers to FUNK - long range radio (normal armored cars were not fitted with long range radios). Units not shown within the battalion T.O.&E. are the Supply troops (fuel, kitchen, baggage, etc.). I've included an infantry platoon in use instead of the historical attached intelligence section. |
I hope this is information you can use when forming your reconnaissance units. Our unit (Aufklarung Abt.) is using the Panzer Division -1940 T.O.&E. I have linked the units in the table of contents found below, so you can pop back and forth between pages easily. |
Important Note: |
I've included the actual make up of the 1939 Panzer Division Raconnaissance Battalion, below the table of contents. You can compare it to the T.O.&E. page of the same, incase you are wanting to make a full sized historically acurate battalion. |
