The "221" was produced form 1935 - 1940, with a total of 339 being made, some being sent to China. |

It was issued to Aufklärungs units of armored, light and infantry divisions (motorized). |

Opinion on deployment : One for the "Rats" - Although they played a big part within reconnaissance units, for the first few years. It is not obsoletely necessary to deploy them for War #1, as they were well outdated by 1942. Schutzen or the SdKfz 222 could be substituted by German units.
